A little more about me...

why paris?

the question most asked

Paris was on our list from the beginning—part of a long-term plan, but the kind you file under “maybe someday.” We had other cities in mind too. Dozens.

But then we realized Paris wasn’t just a dream. It was possible. Actually easy. And just like that, all the other cities fell away.

It was supposed to be five years out. But two months into the plan, my wife asked, “What if we just did it?” So we did.

Now I live in a city that rewards attention. Paris isn’t just beautiful—it’s layered, human, quietly strange. The kind of place where you can spend a lifetime walking and still catch something new.

I didn’t come here to reinvent myself. I came here because it felt like the right place to live life fully—on the street, behind the scenes, through the lens, and always in motion.
I’ve worked behind the scenes in a lot of different worlds—education, advocacy, media, tech.
These days, I split my time between freelance web development, personal assistant work, and creative projects that help me make sense of the world (or push back against it).
That might mean designing a protest tee, building someone’s website, or documenting a quiet moment on the street that would’ve gone unnoticed.
Paris has a way of inviting attention—its architecture, its rhythms, its little collisions of people and place. I started taking photos just to hold onto those moments, and somewhere along the way it became part of how I move through the city.
Everything I do is tied together by a love of systems, details, and human stories. Whether I’m helping someone launch a project, sort out a mess, or just breathe a little easier, I like to think I leave things better than I found them.
This site is a landing zone for all the weird, meaningful, and in-progress things I make. You’re welcome to wander through.

That Paris exists and anyone could choose to live anywhere else in the world will always be a mystery to me.
