Women are funny to me. I sometimes wonder if they aren’t their own worst enemy.
Yesterday I suggested, on a social media page, that the Flogging Molly Salty Dog Cruise consider bringing along Garbage, a female fronted band.
Women responded with one of two reactions. In agreement. Or as if there was only room for one female fronted band on the cruise.
I don’t get that.
Weeks ago when FM Cruise peeps asked for bands fans would love to see not one person had a problem rattling off multiple bands. Guy fronted bands.
Bring up women fronted bands and it suddenly (seems to) becomes an either or choice. And mostly, that seems to be women reacting that way.
Weird.
I say bring as many rocker chick fronted bands as we can fit on the boat.
Also, I had no idea who The Interrupters were before yesterday. Today, I am a fan. Bring them AND Garbage AND Liz AND… along on the cruise!
