It\u2019s a strange thing to see people satisfied with themselves for protesting on a Saturday after months of planning. Don\u2019t get me wrong, there was some good that came from the No Kings protest; like running on a treadmill instead of outside – at least you burn the calories even if you\u2019re never really going anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As far as effecting any kind of change\u2026 I don\u2019t see it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pithy signs don\u2019t stop families from being broken up. Marching around cities isn\u2019t stopping the GOP from gerrymandering the fuck out of the House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the government is no closer to opening back up again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But at least we stopped bailing out Argentina and aren\u2019t wasting hundreds of millions on tacky renovations of the White House or private planes Nazi Barbie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh wait\u2026 that all still happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I guess my point is this: Americans need to stop being afraid of the V word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
