Rudy Martinez, a Chicano writer and podcaster in Paris, relaxes on his balcony at night wearing a Los Angeles Dodgers shirt, enjoying a quiet moment with city lights glowing in the background.

Hi, I'm Rudy Martinez

This is my website.
Sometimes I write.
I even wrote a kids book.
Sometimes I wander Paris with my camera.
Sometimes I create snarky protest apparel.
I also create websites and freelance, too.
And, I smoke too much and
I cuss like a sailor.
But I am mostly a good guy.

A little about me

I’m a Chicano from Los Angeles now living in the City of Lights with my beautiful wife, Sam, and our ball of fluff, Dexter - who thinks he runs the place (he may not be wrong).

I write a lot of nonsense, though every now and then someone tells me it makes sense - or even matters. I wrote a children’s book once, and because I don’t know when to stop, I’m plotting to turn it into a whole series.

I’m also the kind of “intolerant lefty” your uncle complains about at Thanksgiving. To that end, I started a store filled with snarky protest gear and the ocassional Parisian-themed coloring books.

What can I say? I contain multitudes.

On the practical side, I freelance: web design, virtual assisting, creative projects—basically, if it requires words, ideas, or pixels, I probably dabble in it.

If you’ve got questions, projects, or just want to chat, feel free to email me: chicanoinparis@gmail.com.
